Hiser joined Rensselaer as an assistant coach to the men’s basketball team in 2010-2011. In addition to coaching at Rensselaer, Hiser also works as a teacher’s aide in the Ballston Spa Middle School.

As a player, Hiser played for four years at the College of St. Joseph. While at St. Joseph’s he was a member of the Sunrise Conference Championship team in 2008 and competed in the NAIA Division II National Tournament in Branson, Missouri.

A captain in his final season, he was named the school’s recipient of Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.

Prior to attending St. Joseph’s, Hiser was a member of the varsity basketball and football teams at Poultney High School.

Hiser graduated Cum Laude from the College of St. Joseph in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and is currently attending Sage Graduate School, where he is in pursuit of his Master‘s Degree in Professional School Counseling.
