Rich Gilooly

Rich Gilooly joined the men's basketball program as an assistant coach in 2004.

Gilooly most recently served as a head coach at Catholic Central High School in Troy. In his last season he led the Crusaders to their best record in six years. Prior to coaching at Catholic Central, he coached two seasons at Schalmont High School in Schenectady.

In addition to his head coaching experience, Gilooly served for three seasons as an assistant coach at Hudson Valley Community College.  While at HVCC, the Vikings posted a 70-22 record, winning both a Conference and Regional Championship. The team also advanced to the 19998-99 NCJAA National Tournament.

Gilooly served as an assistant coach for the Adirondack Open Men’s Basketball Team during the summer of 2002, helping lead them to a bronze medal.  He is also a long-time clinician at numerous camps.

In addition to coaching, he is a social studies teacher at Bishop Magnin High School in Albany.
