2024-25: Played 33 games ... three goals and three assists for six points ... 40 shots on goal ... nine blocked shots.

2023-24: Played 19 games...Two goals and two assists for four points...22 shots on goal...three blocked shots...ECAC All-Academic Team.

Before Rensselaer: Coming off a 23 goal season with the Nanaimo Clippers (BCHL), Payant brings back-to-back 20-plus assist seasons to RPI. Payant played from 2021-23 for Nanaimo, putting up 47 goals and 45 assists for 92 points in that span. Prior to his time with the Clippers, Payant spent two seasons with the Hawkesbury Hawks (CCHL), where he collected 28 points over 66 games with 11 goals and 17 assists.
