On attending Rensselaer: "I decided to attend Rensselaer because when I visited the cross country team as a senior in high school I had a really fun time hanging out with them. I saw the commitment to the team that the upperclassmen had and were teaching the younger runners. I wanted to be a part of such a strong program. I also saw an opportunity to be a play by play and color commentator for the ice hockey team when I came to accepted student’s day in the spring of my senior year of high school. I had a great experience with sports broadcasting for my high school and it was something  I wanted to pursue in college. RPI was the only school that I would be able to get an engineering education, be a member of a strong varsity athletic team, and also broadcast ice hockey and other sports." - August 2019
