Dana McGuane

Dana McGuane is in his third year as Rensselaer’s hockey equipment manager.

Prior to joining the Engineers, McGuane worked for five years in the New Jersey Devils organization, including one year as the head equipment manager with the parent club and four years with the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League. During his one season with the Devils, he was a member of the 2000 Stanley Cup Champions. While with Albany, McGuane, who is a certified member of the American Equipment Managers Association, was honored to serve as the equipment manager for the 1996 AHL All-Star Game.

Prior to joining New Jersey, McGuane was the equipment manager and athletic trainer for the Roanoke Express of the East Coast Hockey League from 1993-95. He also provided his expertise during the off-season to the Roller Hockey International’s Philadelphia Bulldogs from 1994-96.

A native of Binghamton, N.Y., McGuane attended Wagner College. He and his wife, Arlene, reside in Castleton with their two children, Patrick and Emma.
