Patenaude joined the athletic training staff in 2009-10.
A native of Schuylerville, N.Y., Patenaude came to Rensselaer after spending the 2008-09 season at Ithaca College. As a graduate assistant, she was the primary trainer for the Bombers field hockey team. She also worked with the men’s and women’s lacrosse and swimming & diving teams.
Patenaude served in a variety of positions prior to her time at Ithaca, including as an assistant athletic trainer at Overland High School in Aurora, Colo., and as an intern at the University of Denver, where she worked with a number of Division I teams, including men’s ice hockey. In addition to being board certified and licensed by the State of New York, she is also a member of the Eastern Athletic Trainers Association (EATA) and is an approved clinical instructor.
Patenaude earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from SUNY Brockport in 2005, and a master’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Ithaca in August of 2009.
