Jeff Ocampo was named to the coaching staff of the Rensselaer men's lacrosse team in fall 2012.
Ocampo graduated from Ursinus College in 2012. A midfielder, Ocampo was a two-time National All-America Honorable Mention for the Bears, for whom he played from 2009-2012. He first earned the honor as a sophomore in 2010 when he had 25 goals and six assists for 31 points in 13 games. He also had 14 ground balls and was an All-Centennial Conference selection.
The next season he was a captain who started all 15 games, scoring a team-high 36 goals with 10 assists and 30 ground balls. The Palm Coast, Fla., native was also the Centennial Conference Player of the Year and All-Conference First Team.
In 2011, Ocampo had 14 goals and an assist with 16 ground balls in 12 games as a second-year captain. A business and economics major, he was a 2012 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Scholar All-America.
Off the field at Ursinus, he worked in the admissions office, conducting interviews, providing information sessions and reviewing applications. Ocampo also worked with the full-time admissions counselors on a variety of tasks. The Mantanzas High School graduate was also an officer candidate for the United States Marine Corps in the summer of 2011.
Ocampo has coaching experience as a high school level club coach from 2008 to 2011
