Jim Clementi

Clementi joined the RPI coaching staff in the fall of 2015.

An assistant coach at his alma mater, Ramapo, for one season prior to arriving at Rensselaer, his prior coaching experience also includes three years as head coach of the Hawthorne High School varsity soccer team, as well as one summer at the helm of the Wyckoff Torpedoes U-17 team. 
 
During his time at Hawthorne, Cementi was also a full-time teacher in mathematics, instructing students in a number of areas, including computer applications, algebra, honors geometry and pre-calculus.
 
Earning his National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) Advanced National Diploma, Clementi has worked at the Cosmos Soccer Camp in Mahwah, N.J., for the last five years, instructing players from ages 10 to 17. 

As a player at Ramapo, Clementi was a three-year captain, earning All-New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) in 2009 and 2010. He was also an NJAC All-Academic selection in 2008 and 2009. A mathematics major, he helped lead the 2010 Roadrunners to an 11-3-4 overall record, including a 5-1-3 mark in NJAC play.

Clementi appeared in 61 career games for the Roadrunners, all as a starter. A defender, he recorded four goals and six assists for 14 points.
