Nick Bochette began as an assistant coach for the men's soccer team in 2007. He is a former standout goalkeeper for the Engineers.
Bochette helped guide RPI to one of the best seasons in program history in 2009 as the Engineers went 14-3-2 with a 5-1-1 Liberty League mark. RPI, which was ranked as high as sixth nationally, claimed the conference's regular season title and advanced to the Liberty League Semifinals.
The Engineers went on to receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season, advancing to the second round. Additionally, Bochette and head coach Adam Clinton were honored for the second consecutive season as the Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year.
He also helped coach nine All-League selections in 2009, including NSCAA All-American and All-Conference First Team honoree, Lincoln Field.
In 2008, the Engineers posted a record of 13-6-1 overall and 6-1-0 in Liberty League play. The team played in the Liberty League Semifinals and later received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. Bochette and Clinton were named the Liberty League Coaching of the Year, while six student-athletes earned All-Conference recognition.
During the 2007 campaign, RPI captured its second ECAC Tournament title on its way to a 10-6-4 record. The Engineers finished with a 2-3-2 mark in the Liberty League.
Bochette, who is a native of Schaghticoke, NY, graduated from Rensselaer in 2006 with a degree in Mathematics.
