On attending Rensselaer: "Rensselaer had a great feel to the undergraduate community. During my overnight visit I observed students helping each other with homework and different assignments. I also saw students teaching each other different course material. This type of teamwork and friendship I hadn't seen at any of my other school visits. The swim team here was a big draw for me. The men's and women's team acted as one unit. The team seemed to be enjoying the sport and swimming could be fun again." - March 2014
Benefits of undergraduate community at Rensselaer: "RPI is a relatively small school but at the same time it is very highly diverse. This is a benefit to being an undergraduate student. You don't have to go very far to meet someone just like you while at the same time you don't have to go far to meet someone completely different. This unique mix of diversity allows you to really expand your horizon and learn about others. The friends you make on this campus stick with you for life. I've been here for three years and even the friends I made who graduated my first semester still stay in contact." - March 2014
