Parnell joined the women's basketball staff in 2010.

A native of Franklin, Mass., Parnell graduated from Siena College last spring, having spent four seasons as a student-athlete on the Saints’ women’s basketball team. The captain of the squad during her senior season, Parnell helped lead Siena to an 11-18 overall record in 2009-10. She appeared in 15 games, including one as a starter, as the Saints advanced to the quarterfinals of the MAAC Tournament.

During her career, Parnell volunteered her time to a number of causes on campus, including as a tutor to other student-athletes. A multiple Dean’s List selection, she was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and an assistant to one of the institution’s academic advisors.

Additionally, the Worcester Academy graduate served as an intern for the Saints’ program during the summer of 2009. Among her responsibilities included the creation of scouting reports, organizing various components of team camps and giving guided tours to recruits of campus.

Parnell has served as a volunteer and instructor at numerous organizations, including at the Siena College Camp and the Tomorrow Stars Camp for seven years. She has also worked with the Saints AAU U-15 girls’ team in Troy since the spring of 2010 as an assistant coach.

A member of the Adopt-a-School program, Parnell volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House in Albany, serving meals to the families staying there, while also lending her time to the Capital Region Miracle League.

Parnell graduated from Siena in May of 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology.
