Flynn joined the Rensselaer Athletic Training staff prior to the 2008-09 season.
A native of Lancaster, N.H., Flynn comes to Rensselaer after spending the previous two seasons at Cornell University. As a graduate assistant, he was the primary trainer for the Big Red men’s soccer and baseball teams. Flynn also worked with the university’s men’s hockey and football teams.
Flynn, who is board certified and is licensed by the State of New York, was an intern at Rensselaer during the 2005-06 season. Among his responsibilities was the direct coverage of the football, women’s ice hockey and men’s lacrosse teams.
Flynn earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Springfield College in 2005, and a master’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Ithaca College in May of 2008.
In addition to his work at the collegiate level, he has also held internships with the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod Baseball League and the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.
