Katie Kleine joined the Rensselaer women's soccer staff as an assistant in the fall of 2015.
A native of Cazenovia, N.Y., Kleine was a standout at the State University of New York at Fredonia, where she was a member of both the women's soccer and lacrosse teams.

Kleine played in a 74 games (all starts) for the Blue Devils soccer team, netting 27 goals and 20 assists for 74 points. A captain and two-time All-Region selection, she earned All-SUNYAC First and Second team honors throughout her four years.

Leading the lacrosse team to NCAA Tournament appearances in three out of four seasons, Kleine played in 70 games for Fredonia, including 69 as a starter. A captain, she netted 153 career goals and assisted on 138 more for 291 points. An NCAA All-America honoree, she earned multiple All-SUNYAC and All-Region awards, while setting numerous team scoring records.
Kleine earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Creative Writing.Â
