Rebecca Lee was added to the coaching staff in late August 2014. A native of Selkirk, N.Y., she was a standout at the University of Albany, where she was a four-year starter in soccer for the Great Danes.
In 73 collegiate games, Lee started 69 and scored 11 goals with 10 assists for 32 points. Lee earned America East Conference All-Rookie Team honors after scoring five goals with a team-best and school Division I record four assists for 14 points in 2008. She played 20 games that season, including 19 as a starter, and was named to the Governor's Cup All-Tournament Team.
Lee was an All-Conference Second Team selection following her sophomore campaign in which she had a goal and two assists in 18 contests, all starts, while helping Albany to the program's first America East and Division I post-season berth. She tallied a goal and two assists again the following year and became the first player in program history to be selected to the All-America East First Team.
As a senior in 2011, she led the team in goals (4), including two on penalty kicks and a game-winner, and points (10) with 21 shots. She was an All-Conference Second Team selection and recognized on the All-America East Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll for the second time in her career.
She went on to play in the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) with the Adirondack Lynx.
Lee earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Documentary Studies with a minor in Educational Studies. A member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics, Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society and Presidential Honor Society, she graduated Cum Laude in 2012. She also earned a Spellman Achievement Award for Academic Excellence.
A graduate of Bethlehem Central High School, Lee was an assistant coach with the Bethlehem club team a year ago. As a student, she captained a soccer team that was ranked eighth in the nation and first in New York in her senior year. She was All-Conference twice in leading the team to two league championships.
She also participated in the Eastern New York Olympic Development Program and was selected to play in the Super Y ODP National Camp. A former member of the Bethlehem Knights boys' team and Blackwatch Nirvana club teams, Lee also played in the Empire State Games, earning a pair of silver medals.
