Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Athletics

Dr. Ingrid Wilke works as Professor of Physics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Her motivation for serving as the NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) originates from her own positive experience as a lifelong rower, runner and nordic skier. Having joined the faculty at RPI in 2002, she brings a wealth of teaching and advising experience to her role as the FAR.  

Dr. Wilke received the Habilitation in Experimental Physics from the University of Hamburg (Germany), a Ph.D. in Physics from ETH Zurich (Switzerland), a Diploma in Physics from the Wurzburg University (Germany) and an M.Sc. in Physics from SUNY Albany. Furthermore, she successfully completed a Certificate in Higher Education at the University of Hamburg.  

Her research expertise is in terahertz wave science and technologies.
