The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) athletics administrative staff has increased with the addition of Tucker Glass as the department's Athletics Compliance Specialist in August of 2023. He works with all 23 intercollegiate teams, 21 of which compete in Division III, while women's and men's hockey play in Division I, as well as the administrators from the NCAA, Liberty League, and ECAC Hockey.
Glass arrived in Troy from Medaille University, where he was the Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Recruitment and Retention. In his year there, he guided prospective students and families through the admissions and financial aid processes.
He spent the previous two years at Bard College, where he was the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Head Women's Lacrosse Coach. In addition to leading and managing all aspects of the lacrosse team, which also plays in the Liberty League, he coordinated all compliance rules and education of academic and athletic eligibility of enrolled student-athletes. He also processed incoming and outgoing transfer tracer requests, and provided rules interpretations assistance to student-athletes and athletics staff members.
Glass mentored the women's lacrosse programs at DePauw University, where he was the head coach in the 2017 and 2018 seasons, as well as at Hartwick College, where he was an assistant coach from August 2014 to May 2016. DePauw earned its first winning season in program history with Glass at the helm (2017). While at Hartwick, he served as a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) advisor and assisted with athletic communications.Â
He also brings experience as an intern at the NCAA with the Governance Department. Among his responsibilities were assisting the staff in the daily operations of the office, working on special projects and strategic initiatives, aiding the National Letter of Intent office, and helping coordinate men's lacrosse national championship tournaments.
Glass earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Science in Adolescence Education from SUNY Plattsburgh, where he was a member of the lacrosse team. The Oswego, N.Y., native earned SUNYAC All-Academic team and Commissioner's List recognition while with the Cardinals.
