“RPI Football is a great group of guys who work hard every day for a common team goal. Some of the guys on the team are an extended family to me, which wouldn't have happened without football. – #76

“Over the past four years my experience at Rensselaer has been nothing short of life changing. The relationships I have built and the lessons I have learned, both in the classroom and out on the field, will stay with me my entire life. I have been blessed by being a part of this football program. It is very unique in that it is like having a second family.
All of the people involved in this family truly care about you and the person you grow into. I can honestly say that being part of RPI football has helped mold me into the man I am today. The guys that I have played with over the past four years have become like brothers to me, and they will forever be considered as such.
Coach King and his staff do their very best to bring out the best in each and every one of us. I am forever in debt of their services. Not only do they expect the utmost out of us on the playing field, but in the classroom and in the community as well.
Ort and his staff and the guys in the cage have also been an integral part of our success and I appreciate everything that they do for this program. I am very proud to say that I play RPI Football.” – #15
Kevin Avery (White Plains, NY)
“I transferred to RPI after being at a program that really had no cohesiveness. As soon as I came here I really felt like I was part of something special. Here at RPI the football team becomes your second family. Everyone from Coach King and the rest of the coaching staff to the players really care about you and are always there for you no matter what. We put a lot of time in together, whether it is during morning workouts, film or practice. It truly is an honor to be a part of this program and is something I will remember for the rest of my life. This experience has helped mold me into the person I am today and I am thankful for that.” – #32
Jared Blais (Troy, NY)
“What has made my experience at RPI most special to me is this football program. More like a family, the football community is made up of the hardest working people I have ever encountered. From Coach King and the staff to Ort, the training staff and the equipment guys, we are constantly surrounded by quality people who all have our best interests in mind. I have forged long lasting bonds with my teammates, who through blood, sweat and tears have become my brothers. I have had so many of my best memories with people from this program. The years have passed so quickly and now as I reflect on my time here, I am so grateful and privileged to have been a part of such a special group.” – #46

The players I have spent the last four years with have become some of my very best friends and I will never forget the memories that we have made together. I am very grateful to everyone that has been a part of my life here at RPI for preparing me for the future, and I plan on maintaining these relationships even after we part ways.” – #90

“When I arrived at Rensselaer I was a nervous teenager three hours from home and had no idea what to expect. I was quickly greeted by friendly, honest people. This was true from top to bottom; from coaches, professors and upperclassmen all the way down to my fellow classmates. The people that make up this Institute are what make this a very special place. Throughout my stay here at Rensselaer the people around me have always impressed me with their honesty, charisma and diversity. I will miss Rensselaer dearly, and all the friends I have made here.” – #44 Peter Rankis (Acton, MA)
“This is my family—my teammates, Coach King and the coaching staff, Ort and the training staff, and the guys in the Cage. On and off the field these are the people that I have shared many laughs and memories with. Everything from winning the Dutchman Shoes three years in a row, to winning last second games, to pulling pranks on each other in the locker room before practice — it has all been a blast. It has come and gone so quick, but my time here at RPI is something I will cherish and remember for the rest of my life.” – #14

The memories I have shared with them are ones I will never forget. The coaches have also been special to me. They have helped me become the man I am today and helped me open doors for my future.
