The Engineers, who are coached by John Lynch, are coming off a second place finish at the Liberty League Championship Meet. RPI compiled 58 points on the day, led by junior Jacob Andrews (New Woodstock, NY/Fabius-Pompey), who was eighth overall with a time of 25:44. Joining him in the top 10 was sophomore Bobby Parker (Johnston, RI/St. Raphael Academy), who ran the 8k event in 25:49, and senior captain Sean Quinn (Brookline, NH/Hollis Brookline), who was 10th with a time of 25:54.

Rensselaer, which is ranked fifth in the region, also had a runner-up finish the week before, placing second at the New York State Championship Meet. Parker paced Rensselaer, finishing fourth overall with a time of 26:39.8, while Andrews was second on the team and seventh overall with a time of 26:44.5.

In seven events this season, the Engineers have two first place finishes and four second place finishes. They return to action on November 16 in the NCAA Atlantic Regional hosted by SUNY Geneseo (11am).
