Rensselaer's Statement Pertaining to the Mayor's Cup Game post-game incident:

"Last Saturday evening, an incident occurred between the Rensselaer and Union College men's ice hockey teams, immediately following the game.  The Rensselaer men's ice hockey program has a proud history, with a strong commitment to outstanding sportsmanship.  Rensselaer will continue to review this recent incident for opportunities to further reinforce our high standards." - Allison Newman, spokesperson for the Institute

In response to ECAC Hockey's announcement of supplemental discipline that includes RPI head men's hockey coach Seth Appert, the Institute's statement reads…

"ECAC Hockey has taken the action it feels is necessary, and we fully support the decision of the league."
