KEENE, N.H. - Alex Horne scored on a penalty kick with under six minutes left in the second half to break a 2-2 tie and give the Keene State men's soccer team a 3-2 win over Rensselaer in a non-league contest.  The Owls improve to 4-7-3, while RPI lost for the first time in six games, falling to 9-3-1.

After a scoreless first half, the Red Hawks broke the ice with an own-goal at 52:59.  Keene State came back to tie the score on a goal by Ross Stanton at 67:55 but Rensselaer freshman Andrew Tambasco (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) put the visitors back in front just 1:15 later.  For Tambasco, a forward, the goal was his second of the season.

The Owls knotted the score on a Luke Sisco goal in the 78th minute before Horne won it with his team-best seventh goal of the season.

Scott Panone made six saves to earn the win for Keene State.  Alex Penny (Northport, NY/Northport), who made two saves, took the loss for the Red Hawks, who held a 14-13 advantage in shots and a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.
