Clinton, N.Y. - Senior Elizabeth Barker (Suffield, CT) recorded a double-double to lead the Rensselaer women's basketball to a 53-46 victory over Hamilton at Scott Field House. With the win, their fifth in a row, the Red Hawks improve to 10-2 overall and 2-0 in the Liberty League. The Continentals fall to 7-5 and 1-2 in league play.

Hamilton started strong, allowing just three points in the first ten minutes of the game and led by as much as 13-3 with 10:47 to go in the opening half.

A three-pointer by sophomore Allison Connor (Hudson, NY) at 13:19 of the second half, gave the Red Hawks their first lead of the game (34-32). After Reisa Asimovic (Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina) tied the game at 34 on the ensuing possesion, RPI's Sara Wetmore (Sudbury, MA) hit a jump shot that gave the visitors the lead right back.

The Continentals tied the game at 40 with 8:40 to play in the game, but Red Hawks senior Caitlyn Charest answered with a three-pointer, giving Rensselaer the lead for good. Free throws from Charest, Wetmore and Barker down the stretch secure the win.

Wetmore finished with a team-high 13 points and seven rebounds for RPI, with Charest chipping in with 11 points.
