ONEONTA, N.Y. – Senior captain Brian Roth (Columbia, MD/Mount Saint Joseph) posted a pair of victories, but the Rensselaer men's and women's swimming & diving teams could not overcome the deficit, falling in dual meet action at Hartwick on Sunday. The Hawks men won, 132-111, while the Hartwick women were victorious, 127-114.

Roth swam to victory in the 200-backstroke with a time of 2:02.06 and also helped the 200-freestyle relay team to a win with a mark of 1:30.51.

Freshman Ben LeRose (Williamsburg, VA/Lafayette) continued to dominate in the pool, capturing two individual wins and a relay victory. He won the 200-individual medley in a time of 2:01.09 and then claimed first in the 200-butterfly with a time of 2:01.98. LeRose also helped the 200-medley relay team to a win with a time of 1:140.19.

For the women, freshman Mairead Lyons (Leominster, MA/Notre Dame Academy) won the 200-free in a time of 2:03.26 and also claimed victory in the 200-fly with a time of 2:15.65. Classmate Tina Belletete (Winchendon, MA/Gardner) also had a solid afternoon, winning the 1000-free with at time of 11:04.41. She also finished first in the 500-free with a mark of 5:27.03.

Senior diver Kelsey Manley (Southbury, CT/Sacred Heart) claimed victory off both boards, capturing the 1-meter with a score of 200.15 points and the 3-meter with 200.10 points

Both squads are idle until December 4 and 5 when they compete in the Liberty League Championships, hosted by the University of Rochester.
