SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Rensselaer men's and women's swimming & diving teams came away with an impressive dual meet sweep of Skidmore on Saturday, claiming victory in 22 of 26 events. RPI's men won by a score of 158-78, while the Engineers women, who posted 12 victories in 13 events, posted a score of 169-66.

Leading the way for the men was senior captain Kevin Ehrlich (Manchester, CT/Manchester), who swam to victory in the 1000-freestyle (10:33.36) and the 100-free (52.02). Rookie Ben LeRose (Williamsburg, VA/Lafayette) also helped RPI to a pair of victories, winning the 50-free (23.00) and helping the 200-medley relay to first-place (1:44.04).

Senior captain Brian Roth (Columbia, MD/Mount Saint Joseph) won the 100-fly (56.78), while sophomore Kevin Boddie (Weymouth, MA/Weymouth) was first in the 200-IM (2:07.81).

Skidmore's Doug Pilawa was a dual winner in the diving events, capturing the 3-meter (266.70) and the 1-meter (281.85). His mark off the 1-meter was an NCAA Provisional Cut.

On the women's side, senior captain Meredith Eger (Littleton, CO/Heritage) was a two-event winner, posting victories in the 100-free (58.68) and the 200-medley relay (1:59.32). Sophomore Carly Antonucci (Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central) also helped the 200-medley relay to victory while finishing first in the 100-butterfly (1:02.18).

Several freshman swimmers also had solid efforts in today's victory as Mairead Lyons (Leominster, MA/Notre Dame), Tina Belletete (Winchendon, MA/Gardner) and Christina Provenza (Millersville, MD/Severn Park) all picked up victories. Lyons won the 1000-free (11:07.03) while Belletete was victorious in the 100-backstroke (1:06.11).

Provenza was the meets only three-event winner, finishing first in the 50-free (26.74), the 500-free (5:31.35) and helping the 200-medley relay team to victory.

In the women's diving events, RPI swept the sides as senior Kelsey Manley (Southbury, CT/Sacred Heart) won off the 1-meter board (243.00 points) and junior Grace Fitzgerald (Manchester, NH/Manchester) claimed victory in the 3-meter event (251.70 points).

Both teams return to the pool next Saturday in the final dual meet of the season at Hamilton (1pm).
