BACK IN STADIUM: This is Rensselaer's third home game ... It lost it's first, 1-0 to Emmanuel, and won it's second, 4-0 over Johnson and Wales ... Those two contests were part of the Rensselaer Invitational.
LONG STAY: RPI plays its next five games at home ... Three of those contests are Liberty League games ... The Engineers next road trip is October 12-13 when they go to St. Lawrence and Clarkson.
RENSSELAER TO DATE: RPI opened the season with two victories in its first three games ... The Engineers then lost a weather-shortened game to Eastern Connecticut State and fell at SUNY New Paltz, a team that had been ranked nationally the week prior ... Rensselaer bounced back to win at Utica before having its game at Castleton washed out.

VASSAR TO DATE: The Brewers got off to a good start to the season, winning their first four games by a combined score of 8-2 ... Vassar has lost two of its last three games, including a 4-2 setback to Western Connecticut on Wednesday in its home opener ... Despite going down 3-0 in the first half, the Brewers battled back and narrowly missed tying the game in a hard-fought second half ... Lucy Brainerd and Chloe Wheeler scored for the Brewers ... Senior goalkeeper Ali Higgins had 12 saves in the loss, while Caitlin Avery had six saves for the Colonials.
LEADING THE BREWERS: Sophomore Chloe Wheeler has five goals and one assist for 11 points to lead Vassar ... Two others have four points, including Gavriella Kaplan, who has two goals ... Ali Higgins has played all seven games and is 4-2-0 with a 1.23 goals against average and a .795 save percentage.
AGAINST BREWERS LAST YEAR: Vassar took the lead on three occasions but Rensselaer took the lead for the final time with the game's final two goals for a 4-3 win in Poughkeepsie ... Both teams put forth an impressive offensive display all game, but in the 83rd minute RPI forward
