LIBERTY LEAGUE HOME FINALE: The Engineers host Vassar College on Saturday in their final home Liberty League contest this season (5pm) ... RPI is 3-4-1 at home so far this season.
FAMILY WEEKEND & SENIOR NIGHT: Renssealer celebrates Family Weekend, October 24-26 ... A number of different activities are planed throughout campus ... It is also Senior Night at East Campus Stadium for the Engineers, who will honor seven players who will be graduating in May.
ENGINEERS WIN AT HARTWICK: Rensselaer scored twice inside of four minutes in the second half to break open a one-goal game in a 5-2 victory on Tuesday night on Elmore Field ... The Engineers were spotted the lead less than 15 minutes into the game on an own goal ... A driven ball from
Stephanie May was sent into the box and a retreating 'Wick defender got a head to it but it slipped past keeper Alley Maurer ... It took less than 20 minutes for the Engineers to get an insurance marker ... May would begin the play by sending a service into the Hawks' penalty area ... The ball was won on a header nodded down by
Taylor Korytko which fell to
Sam Lamorte who scored into an empty goal ... Hartwick got on the scoreboard two and a half minutes before halftime ... Senior Kylie Thayer sent a free kick into the Engineers' box which was won in the air by Casey Boucher ... Nicolette Wilson got her head on the second ball, beating goalkeeper Tory Riopelle to it ...
Rachel Tietzen and
Cori Winslow would score goals at 47:13 and 48:50 ... The Hawks answered 2:19 later as Kristen McKasty scored on a header in close ... They would get no closer however as Tietzen finished of the night's scoring at the 66:10 mark. She finished off a low shot to the far post for the goal.

Alex Scholz has a 1.77 GAA and a .667 SV% in 101:52 minutes.
RPI AT HOME: The Engineers are 20-12-2 at East Campus Stadium over the last three seasons, including a 6-2-0 mark last year ... RPI has had at least five home victories in four of the last five campaigns.
KORYTKO HONORED: Senior captain
Taylor Korytko was named the Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week after leading the Engineers to a 1-1 week, scoring three goals, including a game-winner ... She notched a brace, including the game-winning tally, in a 3-0 victory over RIT on Friday, before recording RPI's only goal in a 3-1 loss to No. 8 William Smith on Saturday ... She was credited with a team-high eight shots on the weekend, averaging 84.0 minutes per contest.
POINTS PILING UP: Senior captain Taylor Koryko's 17 points are the most in a single season by an RPI player since Nikki Goodsell '13 (5 goals, 8 assists) had 18 in 2012 ... The last player to tally more than Korytko's seven goals was Shannon Maguire '13, who had 12 in 2009.
FOR THE BREWERS: Vassar is led offensively by senior Chloe Wheeler, who has six goals and an assist for 13 points ... Freshman Katie Voegtlin (2 goals, 4 assists) has eight points, while classmate Amanda McFarland (2 goals, 3 assists) has seven ... In goal, junior Emma Nichols (8-2-1) has started all 14 games and carries a 0.27 goals against average and a .951 save percentage.
VASSAR EDGES WILLIAM PATTERSON: Jordyn Matthews scored the game's only goal in the opening five minutes, as Vassar held off William Paterson 1-0 Wednesday ... The weather played a major factor in the contest, as the skies dumped rain on Gordon Field for nearly the entire match ... The first shot of the game proved to be a vital one for Vassar, as Matthews found herself open in the fourth minute ... She blasted a shot from outside the 18-yard box over the head of the Pioneer goalkeeper into the right corner of the net ... The Brewers had numerous chances to improve upon their 1-0 lead in the opening half, with one of their best coming in the 16th minute from Lucy Brainerd ... Brainerd took a page out of Matthews's book, blasting a deep shot from over 20 yards out on the right side, which deflected off the cross bar ... In the second half, Vassar again had opportunities to add to its 1-0 advantage, but could not find the net as the Brewers battled against the wind ... William Paterson's only shot of the game in the 61st was a quality one, as a long ball from Sidney Gabrich was put on goal.
IN THE POLLS: Eighth-ranked William Smith is the lone Liberty League school currently ranked in the national top 25, acording to the latest NSCAA coaches poll ... Regionally, the Herons are first, while St. Lawrence is fifth.

Kerry White will lead the Engineers on the field for the 2014 season ... This is the second season wearing a captain's armband for Korytko.
BY POSITION: The Engineers roster consists of two goaltenders, nine defenders, five midfielders, 10 forwards and two players who play multiple positions.
BY CLASS: The team is made up of 10 freshmen, four sophomores, six juniors, seven seniors and a graduate student.
