Complete ResultsITHACA, N.Y. - Twin sisters Danielle and Jessica Sauve combined for five victories and junior Maggie Cullather won off both diving boards but it was not enough as the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's swimming & diving team lost at Ithaca College, 164-136. The Bombers also won the men's meet, defeating the Engineers, 186-112.Danielle Sauve (Walpole, MA / Walpole) had three wins, touching the wall first in the 1000 freestyle (10:55.72), 100 free (54.06) and 500 free (5:19.89). Jessica (Walpole, MA / Walpole) was victorious in the 200 freestyle (2:00.03) and 200 breaststroke (2:34.28).Â
Cullather (Highland Park, IL / Highland Park) won the 1 meter diving competition with 254.45 points and the 3 meter event with 271.55 points. Freshmen
Shanny Lin (El Paso, TX / El Paso) won the 200 butterfly (2:10.27) and
Michaela Yamashita (Kaneohe, HI / Maryknoll) captured the 100 fly (1:00.86).
For the men, freshman Brandon Koo (Little Neck, NY / Stuyvesant) won the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:02.15.
The Engineers, who are both now 1-1, travel to WPI next Saturday for the New England Invitational.
