Dali Alarian each netted two goals to lead the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's soccer team to a 7-0 victory over Albany College of Pharmacy & Health Science, this afternoon at East Campus Stadium. With the win, the Engineers improve to 13-5-1 overall, while the Panthers drop to 10-5.

Sandy Kirk (Houston, TX/Clear Lake) got the scoring started in the ninth minute, when she hit a high arching shot from 25 yards out that caught Panthers sophomore goalkeeper Amy Jagareski (South Glens Falls, NY/South Glens Falls) off her line for a 1-0 lead. Graduate student
Rachel Tietzen (Kelowna, BC/Kelowna Secondary School) picked up the assist.
Tietzen then made it 2-0, when she buried a cross from sophomore
Cori Winslow (Ballston Spa, NY) after the Engineers broke in the attacking third up the right flank.
Freshman
Dali Alarian (Folsom, CA/Vista del Lago) netted two goals in a span of 1:04 to give Rensselaer a 4-0 lead. The second, which came in the 34th minute, was her third of the season.
Winslow and classmate
Ali Zumpetta (Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape) bagged goals less than two minutes apart to make it 6-0 in the 41st minute. Junior
Kate Edwards (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville South) recorded the helper on Zumpetta's tally.
Zumpetta capped the scoring in the 88
th minute, slotting home a corner kick by junior Aryton Starks (Waldorf, MD/Saint Mary's Ryken).
Freshman goalkeeper
Tori Riopelle (Ashburn, VA/Briar Woods) made one save, for her fifth shutout.
The Engineers return to action on Wednesday, when they host a Liberty League semifinal game at East Campus Stadium (TBD). RPI's opponent will be determined this Saturday.
