ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's basketball team was held to just 20.8% shooting from the floor and the Engineers were defeated by Hartwick College, 59-30, in the second round of the Holiday Inn Classic at Lambros Arena. RPI falls to 2-3, while the Hawks are now 1-4.

Amanda Lynch had a game-high eight points for the Engineers, who trailed 32-17 at halftime. She also had five rebounds in 21 minutes. Junior
Ashley Clough led Rensselaer with six rebounds, while chipping in five points. Eleven other members of the Engineers got on the scoresheet with at least one point.
Hartwick, which made 40.0% of its shots, got a game-high 22 points from Emily Stone, who made 8 of 9 shots from the floor.Â
Rensselaer returns to the court on Tuesday at 6pm when it hosts The Sage Colleges at East Campus Arena.
