GAMEDAY: For the first time in nearly two weeks, the Engineers host a game, taking on Liberty League foe Rochester ... RPI is 6-5 overall and 1-2 in the conference, while the Yellowjackets are 10-3 and 2-1.

THE STANDINGS: Rensselaer comes into the game in fifth place in the standings ... The Yellowjackets are in a tie for second place ... The top four teams in the league qualify for the Liberty League Tournament.

AMONG THOSE RANKED: Rochester is among the programs receiving votes in the latest NFHCA Coaches Poll.

FIVE TO PLAY: After Friday's contest, the Engineers have five regular season games remaining, including three against conference foes ... Two games are at Harkness Field.

UPCOMING: RPI is right back on the field on Sunday when Union visits for the Engineers' final league home game ... Gametime is noon.

COMMON OPPONENTS: RPI and Rochester have two common opponents in Utica and William Smith ... Both teams defeated the Pioneeers, 3-1 and 2-0, respectively, and both teams lost to nationally-ranked William Smith, 6-1 and 3-2, respectively.

SCHOOL RECORD: The 14 goals scored by Rensselaer against Keuka on September 20 set a school single game record ... RPI's previous mark was eight goals, which came in an 8-0 victory over Westfield State on September 14, 2002.

GAME-WINNERS: Five of Rensselaer's six game-winning goals have been scored by Megan Jones ... Jena Nawfel has the other.

2014 VS. ROCHESTER: Michelle Relin scored the game's only goal to lead No. 13 Rochester to a 1-0 win over Rensselaer at Harkness Field ...  The lone goal came at 31:28 when Relin carried the ball across the circle and beat RPI goalkeeper Hannah Clough to the left, and shot the ball into the far corner ... A back-and-fourth second half saw Rensselaer control the action, but the Engineers could not capitalize ... RPI led 21-14 in shots, including 8-4 in the second half, and held a 10-4 advantage in penalty corners, including 6-0 in the closing half ... Hana Murphy led the Engineers with six total shots, with five on goal ... Angela Cascio and Megan Jones added for shots for RPI ... Clough stopped seven shots for the Engineers, while Tara Lamberti recorded 13 saves for Rochester.
