Engineers take on Hawks in final non-league game

FINAL NON-LEAGUE MATCH: The Engineers gear up for their last two Liberty League games with a non-leaguer against Hartwick on Wednesday night at East Campus Stadium (7:30pm).

ENGINEERS DRAW TWICE: RPI picked up two points in the Liberty League standings last weekend, drawing St. Lawrence and Clarkson by matching 1-1 score lines ... Junior Cori Winlsow netted Rensselaer's lone tally against the Saints on Friday, while sophomore Dali Alarian bagged the penalty kick equalizer against the Golden Knights on Saturday ... Sophomore goalkeeper Tori Riopelle made a total of nine saves in the two games.

RENSSELAER LEADERS: Sophomore Dali Alarian leads the Engineers with 11 points (4 goals, 3 assists) in 11 games ... She is followed by junior Cori Winslow (2 goal, 3 assists) with seven points .... Sophomore Stephanie May (2 goals, 1 assist) has five ... All three have at least one game-winning goal to their credit.

IN GOAL: Sophomore Tori Riopelle has started all 16 games between the sticks and is 5-5-6 with a 1.19 goals against average and a .761 save percentage ... She has made 67 stops in 1594:58, with five shutouts.

SCOUTING THE HAWKS: Three players have a team-high eight points for Hartwick, including sophomore Sierra Bentley, who has a goal and six assists ... Classmate Casey Boucher has four goals, while fellow second-year Allie Ricci has a goal and six assists ... Between the sticks, junior Megan McGillycuddy is 8-3-2 with a 0.52 goals against average and an .806 save percentage as the starter in all 13 matches.

OCTOBER 21, 2014: Took advantage of 15th minute own-goal and went on to score four more times in a 5-2 win at Hartwick, last season ... Sam Lamorte gave the visitors a 2-0 lead in the 35th minute, before Nicolette Wilson pulled one back for the Hawks, just before the half ... In the second stanza, Rachel Tietzen and Cori Winslow tallied less than two minutes apart for a 4-1 lead, 49 minutes in ... After Kristen McKasty scored for Hartwick in the 52nd minute, Tietzen finished off the double in the 67th.

DRAW MARK: The Engineers are one tie away from the NCAA Division III single season record of seven, which is currently shared by five different schools: Emory (2012), Pacific Lutheran (2012), Augsburg (2005), Sage Colleges, (2005) and Ithaca (1989) ... RPI is also one overtime game away from the DIII record of 10, held by Emory (2012), which went 2-1-7 in OT games, SUNY Cortland (2012) (3-1-6) and Ithaca (1989) (4-1-5).
