The Engineers scored the only runs of the game in the bottom of the first inning. Junior Morgan Kollmeier (Kennett Square, PA/Kennett) reached on an error to lead off the frame, before sophomore Devan Puhl (Frederick, MD/Linganore) got about on a bunt single. Caudle and senior Morgan Ten Eyck followed with RBI-singles and a throwing error plated the third run.

In Game 2, Hepworth (Chester, MA/Holyoke) threw 91 pitches for the 9.0-inning shutout. She gave up six hits - all singles - striking out seven without a walk.

Junior Courtney McArthur (Coventry, RI/St. Mary Academy) provided the herorics in the bottom of the ninth, launching a towering three-run homer to left to break the deadlock.

Caudle continued her hot hitting weekend, going 5 for 7 with a run and a run batted in. McArthur went 2 for 3 with a run and three RBI.
