Austin Betterly scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 90th minute to lift the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's soccer team past 25th-ranked Dickinson College, 2-1, on Saturday at Red Dragons Field. With the win, the Engineers improve to 2-1-1, while the Red Devils drop to 0-3-1.

Gabe El-Ghandour threaded a pass to a cutting Betterly, who placed the ball in the back of the net with just 19 seconds remaining in regulation. The goal was the first his collegiate career.
Dickinson opened the scoring in the just third minute, when Chris Pollock made a move at the top of the area and hit a shot inside the left post.
The Engineers capitalized on hand ball in the box as senior Devin Baughan converted the penalty kick in the 28th minute to even the match, 1-1. The successful penalty was the third on the season for RPI and Baughen.
RPI held an 11-8 edge in shots and an 8-4 advantage in corners for the match. Senior Jeremy Palcan made five saves for the Devils while
Ryan Nealon tallied four stops for the Engineers.
Rensselaer is back in action Tuesday, when it heads back to Oneonta to face the Red Dragons (4pm). Dickinson hosts Goucher on Wednesday (6pm).
