HOMESTAND CONCLUDES AGAINST NEW PALTZ
The Engineers a two-game homestand on Friday afternoon, when they host SUNY New Paltz at East Campus Stadium (4pm).

ENGINEERS TOP WILKES
Junior Stephanie May scored the game's only goal in the second half to lead Rensselaer to a 1-0 victory over Wilkes University on Saturday in its home opener at East Campus Stadium. May minute, when she launched a shot from 25 yards that found its way just under the bar for her first goal of the season. Wilkes had its best chance on the game in the 73rd minute, as RPI freshman goalkeeper Joey Lyons was forced to come off of her line to make a save on Colonels senior Caroline Connor, who was in on a partial breakaway. Lyons was able to make the intial stop and the rebound was cleared away.

MAY HONORED BY LEAGUE
The Liberty League picked junior Stephanie May for its Offensive Performer of the Week after she scored the game-winner against Wilkes.

ALL CLEAN SHEETS
Freshman goalkeeper Joey Lyons earned her third shutout in three starts for RPI, stopping all three shots she faced.

HOT START
Rensselaer is now 3-0 for the first time since 2008. That team opened the season 5-0, before finishing 6-9.

UPCOMING ROAD TRIP
The Engineers hit the road for three straight away from ECAV follow Friday's match. They kick things off at nationally first-ranked Williams on Sunday (12pm).
