Engineers take on Bombers in critical Liberty League match (1pm)

LIBERTY LEAGUE SATURDAY
The Engineers host Ithaca College for the first time in Liberty League play on Saturday afternoon at East Campus Stadium. RPI sits just four points ahead of the Bombers for fifth in the conference standings.

SERIES HISTORY
Rensselaer has never beaten Ithaca in eight ties (0-8-0), dating back to the first ever meeting on September 16, 1989. The Bombers were victorious on that day, 3-0 in Troy. Five of the eight matches have come on RPI's home turf, with the most recent – a 3-0 Ithaca win – occuring on October 30, 2010.

LAST TIME VS. BOMBERS
Ithaca earned a 3-0 win over the Engineers on September 13, 2011 in Ithaca. Three different players found the scoresheet for the hosts, while RPI goalkeeper Stephanie Vargas saves six.

ENGINEERS SHUT OUT MOUNT HOLYOKE
Senior Jessica Dabney and junior Vera Titze each netted their first collegiate goals to highlight a 5-0 victory over Mount Holyoke on Wednesday night at East Campus Stadium. Senior goalkeeper Tori Riopelle earned the clean sheet, posting two stops.

RPI LEADERS
Junior Emily Dunn (3 goals, 1 assist) and sophomore Emily Kaplan (2 goals, 3 assists) are tied for the team lead with seven points apiece. Senior Stephanie May (2 goals, 2 assists) has six points, while classmate Bethany Hanson (2 goals, 1 assist) has five.

GOALKEEPING
Sophomore Joey Lyons (5-4-1) has a 0.96 goals against average and an .831 save percentage, while senior Tori Riopelle (2-1-0) has a 0.50 goals against average and an .889 save percentage.

SCOUTING THE BOMBERS
Shoshana Bedrosian (6 goals, 2 assists) paces Ithaca with 14 points, with Alex Epifani (3 goals, 4 assists) right behind her with 10. Stacey DiGiorgio (4-6-0) has started 10 of 13 games in net and carries a 1.35 goals against average and a .750 save percentage.

HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE
Rensselaer is 15-3-5 in its last 23 matches at East Campus Stadium, including 6-2-0 last year and a 6-1-0 mark so far this season.
