LEAGUE PLAY BEGINS
Rensselaer opens ECAC Hockey play this weekend, when it hosts Yale and Brown on Friday (3pm) and Saturday (3pm), respectively.
ALL-TIME VS. YALE
The Bulldogs hold a 12-8-4 lead in the all-time series, which dates back to November 11, 2001. Yale won the inaugural meeting, 8-0, in New Haven, Conn. RPI is 8-10-4 in conference play, but has a .500 record (5-5-2) in 12 conference games.
RECENTLY VS. THE BULLDOGS
Rensselaer snapped a seven-game winless streak (0-6-1) last season, topping Yale 2-1 on January 7, 2017. The Engineers previous victory was in February of 2013.
ENGINEERS TAKE TWO AT RIT
The Engineers swept a two-game series at RIT on October 13 and 14, winning 3-1 and 4-1.

Shayna Tomlinson and
Aly Tremblay answered an early RIT goal in the opener, before RPI built a 2-0 first period lead in taking game two.
Jaimie Grigsby had three points (1 goal, 2 assists) in the finale, while
Lovisa Selander had 32 saves.
LAST TIME OUT VS. YALE
Jaimie Grigsby netted the overtime-winner at 4:14 of the extra frame to give RPI a 2-1 victory on January 7, 2017. Grigsby also scored the opening goal at 8:51 of the third, before Sophie Veronneau tied it for the Bulldogs.
Lovisa Selander finished with 31 saves for the Engineers, while Tera Hofman turned away 18 for the visitors.

SCOUTING YALE
The Bulldogs split a two-game series at RIT last weekend, winning the opener, 3-1, before falling, 2-1 in overtime. Three different players found the net in the victory, while Tera Hofmann made 27 saves. Julia Yetman then scored the tying goal in the finale, but Kendall Cornine netted the OT-winner for the Tigers to earn the split on Saturday.
BULLDOGS LEADERS
Junior Julia Yetman (1 goal, 1 assist) is the lone Yale skater with multiple points (2). Six others have registered points through two games, including senior Emily Monaghan (1 goal) and junior Jordan Chancellor (1 goal).
GOALTENDERS
Sophomore Tera Hofmann (1-0-0) has a 1.00 goals against average and a .964 save percentage, while freshman Gianna Meloni (0-1-0) has a 1.99 goals against average and a .900 save percentage.
