GAMEDAY: Rensselaer returns to Harkness Field for the first time since September 13 for a Liberty League contest against the University of Rochester.

FIVE STRAIGHT: RPI has played five straight road games - in three different states - since its last home game.

LIBERTY LEAGUE HOME OPENER: The Engineers have played two conference games to date, but both have been on the road, making the game with the Yellowjackets their first in Troy.

ANOTHER RANKED TEAM: Rochester enters the game ranked 17th in the latest Penn Monto/NFHCA Division III Coaches Poll ... The Yellowjackets are the fifth ranked team RPI has faced ... The others include Hamilton (15th at the time, now 9th), Montclair State (8th/3rd), William Smith (20th/20th) and Middlebury (6th/6th).

ALL-TIME VS. ROCHESTER: RPI has played U of R 22 times and Rensselaer holds a 12-10 edge.

RECENTLY: The Engineers are 2-3 in its last five games against the Yellowjackets and 4-6 in its last 10 head-to-head matchups.

AT HOME: RPI is 9-3 at home against Rochester.

LAST SEASON: Rensselaer jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 54th minute  on a goal by Mikaela DiBella, but the Yellowjackets tied it just over two minutes later (Maya Haigis) and took the lead with under seven minutes left (Claire Dickinson) for a 2-1 win ... Rachel Kaufman had 11 saves and RPI added four defensive saves. 

EIGHTH TIME: Last season's 2-1 score was the eighth in the series between RPI and U of R ... Both schools have four wins.

ONE-GOAL GAMES: Contests between the Engineers and Yellowjackets have been decided by one goal 12 times.

LAST TIME OUT: RPI played a mid-week game at No. 6 Middlebury, losing 3-0 ... The Panthers scored three times in a span of 14:15, including a goal and two assists from Grace Jennings ... Rensselaer's Rachel Kaufman stopped 13 shots, while Christina Hanos and Lauren Hiltz both had defensive saves.

LEAGUE SLATE: The Engineers are beginning a stretch of five straight Liberty League contests with three of them on Harkness Field.

FINAL TWO: RPI's last two regular season games are non-league affairs against SUNY New Paltz and Oneonta, respectively.

ROCHESTER TO DATE:  The Yellowjackets won their first two games before being beaten at Johns Hopkins on Sept. 9 ... They bounced back to win three straight before suffering an OT loss at Cortland on Sept. 19 ... U of R won its next two before another OT loss.
