ONE GAME WEEK
The Engineers host Skidmore College on Saturday for their only match of the week. Kick-off is scheduled for 3pm at East Campus Stadium.
SERIES HISTORY
Skidmore owns a 16-12-0 lead in the all-time series, which dates back to October 24, 1985 – a 4-0 victory for the Thoroughbreds in Troy. The series has been highlighted by three long winning streaks. Skidmore won the first five meetings, followed by six straight victories by RPI from 1998 to 2003. The T'breds then took every meeting (eight in a row) from 2004 to 2011.
RECENTLY
Rensselaer has won three of the last five meetings, including two in Saratoga Springs (2012 & 2014). RPI has just one home win in the last seven tries (1-6-0).
LAST TIME VS. SKIDMORE
Christina Sanzari scored in the 43rd minute to lead the Thoroughbreds to a 1-0 victory over Rensselaer on October 28, 2016. RPI held a 14-10 shot advantage, including a game-high five from
Emily Kaplan.
ENGINEERS TOP ST. LAWRENCE
Steph May assisted on the opening goal of the game and scored the eventual winner in the 80th minute to lead RPI last SLU, 2-1, at ECAV Stadium last Saturday.
Joey Lyons made three saves for the Engineers.
