GAMEDAY (Jan. 27, 2018): The Engineers (10-7; 6-4 Liberty League) look to bounce back from a loss on Friday night as they host Skidmore (9-8; 7-3) in a conference contest.

THE STANDINGS: Rensselaer enters the game tied for fifth place in the Liberty League, one win out of second, though there is a three-way tie ahead of them, which includes Skidmore ... RIT is 8-2 and leads the conference ... The top six schools qualify for the post-season.

LAST NIGHT: RIT put four student-athletes in double figures in points with Amanda Olsen registering a double-double (10-10) and the Tigers defeated Rensselaer, 80-59, at East Campus Arena ... RIT made more than half its shots (31 of 58), including 13 of 26 three-pointers, led by Tara Lynch's 17 points ... She made 7 of 8 attempts ... Cori Okada added 13 points, five assists and four steals ... Elizabeth Eckhardt put up 16 points and Sam Krumbhaar finished with 14 for the Engineers, who had 19 field goals with five from three-point range.

STREAK SNAPPED: RPI was undefeated in Troy prior to last night's game, having gone 7-0, including 5-0 in conference play. 

SKIDMORE LAST NIGHT: Skidmore senior guard Kelly Donnelly set the school's all-time scoring record, leading the Thoroughbreds to a 66-38 victory over Union in Schenectady ... She finished with 23 points ... Fellow senior Veronica Moceri finished with 12 points and three rebounds, while Caite Opfer had 10 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals.

ROAD TRIP: The Thoroughbreds are playing their seventh consecutive road game - all Liberty League contests ... They then have five straight games at home.

ALL-TIME AGAINST SKIDMORE The Engineers are 37-23 against the Thoroughbreds, including a 20-10 mark in Troy ... The teams have played 45 conference contests with Rensselaer holding a 27-18 advantage.

LAST 10: RPI is 3-7 in its last 10 games with Skidmore, including a 64-48 loss on January 5 in Saratoga Springs.

JANUARY 5, 2018: Skidmore's Kelly Donnelly recorded her 35th career double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds, along with four assists and three steals in leading the Thoroughbreds to a 64-48 win over the Engineers ... Taylor Ong scored 11 points off the bench and Veronica Moceri contributed a career-high six assists to go along with eight points ... LaKissa Martin was the lone RPI player in double figures with 14 points ... Elizabeth Eckhardt and Sam Krumbhaer scored nine each.

COMMON OPPONENTS: Outside of Liberty League foes, Rensselaer and Skidmore have two common opponents in The Sage Colleges and Middlebury ... The Engineers lost to both those schools, 70-58 and 64-54 ... The Thoroughbreds lost to the Gators (54-50), but beat the Panthers (55-49).
