Engineers open up two-game weekend at ECAV against Tigers (4pm)

SENIOR DAY!
The Engineers will honor their four members of the Class of 2019 prior to Friday afternoon's Liberty League match against RIT. Opening kick is slated for 4pm at East Campus Stadium.

SERIES HISTORY
RPI and RIT have split the first 15 games in the all-time series, 6-6-3, with neither team winning more than one game in a row. The Engineers did enjoy a four-game unbeaten streak, however, going 2-0-2 from 1992 to 2002. In Liberty League play, the 11 matches have been split as well, 5-5-1. Home teams have had a distinct advantage, with RPI going 5-1-2 at home, while the Tigers own a 5-1-1 mark in Rochester.

RECENTLY
Rensselaer owns a narrow 3-2-1 mark over the last six meetings, including four shutouts. RIT took the most recently meeting – 1-0 in Rochester last season.

LAST TIME VS. THE TIGERS
Sami Alur scored in the 77th minute to lift the homestanding Tigers to a 1-0 victory on October 13, 2017. RIT outshot the Engineers, 11-5 in the contest, holding the visitors without a shot on target. Joey Lyons made five saves for RPI.

ENGINEERS FALL TO UNION
Sophomore Michelle Lomoz scored her first collegiate goal in the fourth minute, but the Dutchwomen came back to win, 2-1, nettings goals in the 11th and 56th minutes. RPI finished with a 16-12 edge in shots, including 9-6 on goal.

RPI LEADERS
Junior Jacqui Richard has a team-high two goals to go along with one assist for five points. Freshman Whitney Wisnom (1 goal, 1 assist) and junior Emily Dunn (1 goal, 1 assist) have three points apiece, while five others have two points.

GOALKEEPING
Sophomore Joey Lyons (4-6-1) has a 1.06 goals against average and a .750 save percentage have played every minute between the sticks for the Engineers. She has two shutouts.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
RIT (6-3-1) is led by the duo of Marla Roberts (5 goals, 2 assists) and Mia White (4 goals, 3 assists), who have 12 and 11 points, respectively. Lauren Zeglen (2 goals, 4 assists) rounds out the top three scorers with eight points.

RIT GOALKEEPING
Alyssa Salls (2-0-1) has a 0.64 goals against average and an .850 save percentage in seven games (2 starts), while Ingrida Ivaska (4-3-0) has a 0.70 GAA and an .826 SV% in eight games (all starts).
