PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Jaycee Gebhard scored the eventual game-winning goal midway through the third period to help the Robert Morris University women's hockey team to a 3-1 victory over Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), on Saturday afternoon at Colonials Arena. With the win, the Colonials improve to 2-4-0, while the Engineers drop to 1-4-1.
Gebhard scored on the power play at 10:35 of the final frame to give the hosts the lead for good. The lone assist went to Lexi Templeman. Natalie Marcuzzi added a lenghth-of-the-ice empty-netter with 58 seconds to play to seal the win.

Selander (1-4-1) finished with 35 saves, including all 16 shots she faced in the second period. Arielle DeSmet (1-0-0) turned away eight shots for the win.
RPI is back in action next weekend, when it hosts RIT for a two-game series at the Houston Field House. Puck drop is scheduled for 3pm on both Friday and Saturday afternoons. Robert Morris visits Mercyhurst University for a two-game set.
