Engineers face Hawks in non-league clash at ECAV

LEAGUE RESPITE
The Engineers take a one-game break from Liberty League play to host Hartwick on Tuesday at East Campus Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30pm.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Hartwick lead the all-time series, 4-0, with all four games taking places in the 1960s. The Hawks won the inagural meeting – 3-1 in Troy on November 1, 1961. The two haven't squared off since October 31, 1964.

FORMERLY DIVISION I
Hartwick was a Division I men's soccer program from 1973 to 2017, winning the national title in 1977 and making seven Final Four appearances, most recently in 1985. The announcement that the school would be making the move to DIII came in February.

ENGINEERS BLANK HOBART
Freshman Luke Brezak made six saves, while sophomore Trevor Bisson and freshman Billy Chissoe scored in a 2-0 victory at Hobart on Saturday afternoon.

HOME SWEET HOME
The Engineers are 13-4-4 at home dating back to the start of the 2016 season. RPI is 5-16-2 on the road over that same stretch.

RPI LEADERS
Freshman Billy Chissoe (5 goals) as a team-high 10 points, while junior Dillon Ashong (3 goals, 1 assist) and sophomore Michael Harten (2 goals, 3 assists) have seven points apiece.

GOALKEEPING
Junior Matt LaBranche is 4-4-1 with a 1.38 goals against average and a .651 save percentage, with one combined shutout. Freshman Luke Brezak (1-1-0) has a 1.13 goals against average and a .778 save percentage in five games (3 starts).

BREZAK HONORED
Freshman Luke Brezak earned Liberty League Rookie of the Week on Monday after posting a 1-1 record last week, with a 1.00 goals against average and a .778 save percentage. He shut out Hobart with six saves on Saturday.

SCOUTING THE HAWKS
Hartwick (0-9-0) is led offensively by Troy Amegashie, who has three goals for six points.

HARTWICK GOALKEEPING
Jack Riodan (0-4-0) has a 4.15 goals against average and a .651 save percentage, while Aidan Wholihan (0-5-0) has a 3.78 goals against average and a .611 save percentage.
