Trevor Bisson scored the overtime-winner to lead lift the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Clarkson University on Satruday afternoon at East Campus Stadium. With the win, the Engineers improve to 9-8-1 overall (6-3-0 Liberty League), while the Golden Knights conclude their season at 10-6-1 (3-5-1 Liberty League).
Bisson got on the end of a corner kick from senior captain
Dan Graybill in the 96th minute, giving the Engineers the win and a much needed three points. RPI leaps into second in the conference standings thanks to St. Lawrence's 2-1 win over Hobart. The Engineers will receiving a bye into the semifinals, which will take place next Saturday in Canton, N.Y.
Clarkson outshot the Engineers, 7-6, including 5-0 in the first half. RPI freshman goalkeeper
Luke Brezak (4-1-0) had three saves for his fourth shutout of the season. Clarkson's Riley McDonald made one save, before giving way to Noah Bell, who had three stops.
