GAMEDAY (Nov. 10, 2018): The Engineers make their home debut with a non-conference contest against Gordon College.

FIRST MEETING: The Engineers have never played Gordon, which is located in Wenham, Mass., in women's basketball.

FIRST GAME: Elizabeth Eckhardt scored 20 points and 12 other Rensselaer student-athletes also registered points as the Engineers defeated Albany College of Pharmacy, 84-50, on Thursday.

EARLIEST EVER: Due to a permanent alteration in the NCAA's basketball calendar, Thursday's game was the earliest the Engineers have ever played in a season.

2018-19 CAPTAINS: Rensselaer will be led by a trio of senior captains in Elizabeth Eckhardt, LaKissa Martin and Sam O'Keefe.

UPCOMING: The Engineers are back home on Friday afternoon at 4pm to play Farmingdale State ... It is only the second meeting between the two programs ... RPI won the first, 83-79, at Amherst.

HOME SLATE: Rensselaer plays 13 home games, including four non-league

DOWN TIME: The Engineers have a 30-day break from games between December 6 and January 4.

DOWN THE STRETCH: RPI plays a season-high four straight home games, all conference affairs, to end the season.

ECAC PRESIDENT'S LIST: Three Rensselaer women's basketball student-athletes earned 2018 ECAC President's List recognition (GPA of 3.6 or better and have completed a full academic year at their institution) ... They were Kate Goodell, Shaina Iton and Sam O'Keefe ... They were each previously chosen to the Liberty League All-Academic team.

DEPARTMENT AWARD: Honored at last year's Senior Athlete Banquet was Kate Goodell, who was named a Henry Kumpf Award winner. ... The Kumpf is given annually to a senior student-athlete who has demonstrated a strong degree of motivation, desire and determination in contributing to the success of the team.

ALL-LEAGUE: Rensselaer's Elizabeth Eckhardt and Sam Krumbhaar were chosen All-Liberty League Honorable Mention following the 2017-18 season.
