The Engineers resume their season-opening, five-game homestand on Wednesday night, when they host Smith College at Renwyck Field (5pm).

ENGINEERS EDGED BY PLATTSBURGH
Kristen Villemaire scored in the 19th minute to lead the Cardinals to a 1-0 victory over Rensselaer on Saturday night. Plattsburgh State held a narrow 10-9 edge in shots, while the Engineers won the corner kick battle, 4-2.

Smith (3-2) is paced by Zufan Bazzano (3 goals) with six points, while Peyton McBride (2 goals, 1 assists) has five points, while Aisling Keane (1 goal, 1 assist) rounds out the top three scorers with three points. Naomi Falkenberg (3-2) has a 1.72 goals against average and a .579 save percentage with one shutout.
HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE
Rensselaer is 17-7-3 at home over the last four seasons, including a 6-2 mark last year.
