HOMESTAND CONTINUES
The Engineers resume their season-opening, five-game homestand on Wednesday night, when they host Smith College at Renwyck Field (5pm).

RPI won the only previous meeting, 1-0, last year in Northampton, Mass.

LAST TIME VS. SMITH
Grace Heine scored the game's only goal to lift the Engineers to a 1-0 victory on September 13, 2017. RPI outshot the Pioneers, 32-8, and earned five corners to none for Smith.

ENGINEERS EDGED BY PLATTSBURGH
Kristen Villemaire scored in the 19th minute to lead the Cardinals to a 1-0 victory over Rensselaer on Saturday night. Plattsburgh State held a narrow 10-9 edge in shots, while the Engineers won the corner kick battle, 4-2.

RPI LEADERS
Junior Jacqui Richard has both of Rensselaer's goals this season, while seniors Maddie Steinmetz and Catie Mann have assists. Freshman Whitney Wisnom has a team-high 12 shot attempts (3 on goal), while Richard has seven and Emily Kaplan has six.

GOALKEEPING
Sophomore Joey Lyons (1-2-0) has a 1.00 goals against average and an .813 save percentage have played every minute between the sticks for the Engineers.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
Smith (3-2) is paced by Zufan Bazzano (3 goals) with six points, while Peyton McBride (2 goals, 1 assists) has five points, while Aisling Keane (1 goal, 1 assist) rounds out the top three scorers with three points. Naomi Falkenberg (3-2) has a 1.72 goals against average and a .579 save percentage with one shutout.

HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE
Rensselaer is 17-7-3 at home over the last four seasons, including a 6-2 mark last year.
