IN TROY: The Engineers have hosted the Red Hawks just once, September 18, 2016 ... RPI won that game in overtime, 1-0.

2016 MEETING: Claire Cecilio scored just 1:28 into overtime to give Rensselaer a victory over No. 7 Montclair State ... RPI's Mikaela DiBello collected the ball on a re-start and began running down the right side. When inside the circle she passed to Cecilio on her left and she swept the ball along the turf and into the goal ... The Engineers held an 11-4 lead in shots, while Montclair had a 5-3 edge in corners ... Rachel Kaufman (2 saves) earned the win and Kaitlin Maguire made four saves on the other end.

2017 MEETING: Midfielder Amber Haslett posted her second multiple-goal game of the season, scoring twice, as No. 8 Montclair posted a 3-0 victory over RPI ... Forward Kaitlyn Struss added a goal for the Red Hawks, who saw Kaitlin Maguire (one save) and Nicole Andriani combine on the shutout ... Rachel Kaufman stopped 16 shots for the Engineers.

LAST TIME OUT: Jessica Ascencao had a goal and an assist and Morgan Gunter scored the tiebreaking goal nine minutes into the second half as New Paltz defeated Rensselaer, 3-2, on Wednesday ... The Hawks jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but the Engineers battled back to tie it on goals from Jena Dolinar and Mikaela DiBello ... Both goalies, Ryan Dowling of the Hawks and Rachel Kaufman of RPI, made nine saves, including four apiece in the first half.

THREE STRAIGHT: RPI senior Mikaela DiBello has scored a goal in each of the past three games to lead the team in goals (3) and points (6) ... She tied for the team lead in points (19) and was second in goals (6) last year ... DiBello also led the team in assists with seven.

COMMON OPPONENT: Rensselaer and Montclair have both hosted New Paltz ... The Engineers fell, 3-2, while the Red Hawks were victorious, 2-1.

MONTCLAIR YESTERDAY: The Red Hawks defeated Skidmore, 3-2. 
Freshman Jessie House, an attack, earned an assist in the game at Endicott on Saturday ... It was the first point of the freshman's career.

ROSTER BREAKDOWNS: Rensselaer has six freshmen, five sophomores, five juniors and five seniors on its roster ... New Paltz has three seniors, four juniors, five sophomores and 13 freshmen.

CAPTAINS: RPI has a pair of senior captains in Taylor Clink and Casey Collette ... Clink, a back, was a captain as a junior, while this is the first season in that role for Collette, a midfielder.
