Engineers continue five-game homestand against Plattsburgh State (7pm)

HOMESTAND CONTINUES
The Engineers resume their season-opening, five-game homestand on Saturday, when they host Plattsburgh State at East Campus Stadium. Kick-off against the Cardinals is set for 7pm.

SERIES HISTORY
Plattsburgh holds a 4-2 edge in the all-time series, which dates back to November 2, 2002 – a 5-0 Rensselaer victory. The Cardinals have won 2 of 3 meetings in Troy, with RPI winning at home on September 26, 2016.

LAST TIME VS. PLATTSBURGH
The Cardinals prevailed, 2-0, on September 8, 2017, thanks to goals from Cait Gagen and Madeline Saccocio. The Engineers held a 14-13 edge in shots, including three each from Steph May, Dali Alarian and Alexis Castrellon. Joey Lyons made two saves.

ENGINEERS FALL IN OT
Farmingale's Julissa Martinez scored 46 seconds into overtime to lift the Rams to a 1-0 victory over RPI last Saturday at East Campus Stadium. The Engineers outshot Farmingdale 16-12 and earned a 7-1 corner kick advantage, but could not find a way past keeper Daniella Ford.

RPI LEADERS
Junior Jacqui Richard has both of Rensselaer's goals this season, while seniors Maddie Steinmetz and Catie Mann have assists. Freshman Whitney Wisnom has a team-high 12 shot attempts (3 on goal), while Richard and classmate Emily Kaplan have six apiece.

GOALKEEPING
Sophomore Joey Lyons (1-1-0) has a 1.00 goals against average and an .800 save percentage have played every minute between the sticks for the Engineers.

SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
Plattsburgh State is led offensively by Katie Matott (3 goals) and Allison Seidman (2 goals, 2 assists), who have six points apiece in three matches. Kirsten Villemaire (2 goals, 1 assist) has five points. In goal, Taylor Adams (3-0) has a 0.67 goals against average and an .857 save percentage.

HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE
Rensselaer is 17-6-3 at home over the last four seasons, including a 6-2 mark last year.
