Lovisa Selander stopped all 41 shots she faced to earn her third shutout of the season, as the Engineers defeated Brown, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon.
ALL-TIME VS. THE DUTCHWOMEN
RPI owns a 33-4-5 lead in the all-time series, which dates back to February 6, 1996 – a 6-1 Engineers victory in Schenectady. Union picked up its first ever conference game win last season, 2-1, at Messa Rink. Rensselaer is 21-1-1 in ECAC Hockey play and 25-2-4 at home in the series.
RECENTLY
Rensselaer is 10-1-2 over the last 13 meetings, including 6-0-0 at the Houston Field House. Union won a non-league contest at in Troy, 3-2, on October 20, 2012. Prior to that, the Dutchwomen hadn't won a game in the series since 2004.
