TROY, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's and women's track & field programs begin their seasons on Saturday, December 7 with meets at Smith College. The Engineers, who are led by head coach
Colin Tory, then compete at Utica College before the fall semester concludes. Competition picks up again on January 18 in another meet at Utica.
In indoor, RPI will send student-athletes to 11 meets before the NCAA Championship in Winston-Salem, N.C. The teams then transition to the outdoor season with athletes competing in 12 meets. The Outdoor Championship is to be held at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y.
Both the men and women had outstanding 2018-19 campaigns with the women winning four meets and the men capturing seven, including its 11th straight Liberty League Championship. Rensselaer boasted ten National All-Americans with five from the women's teams - all in the high jump - and five from the men's.
