MEET TIME (November 10, 2019): Rensselaer hosts a tri-meet with Oneonta and The College of Saint Rose (1pm).
ENGINEERS ON SATURDAY: Alex Aung won three individual events and a relay and three Rensselaer student-athletes from the women's team won multiple events as the Engineers swept Vassar ... The RPI men posted a 189-106 win, while the women won 150-149 ... Aung started the day on the victorious 200 medley relay team and then won in the 50 free, the 100 free and the 100 fly.
MULTIPLE VICTORIES: In addition to Alex Aung, Rensselaer had six other men earn more than one win on Saturday against Vassar ... They were Matthew Abraham, Harrison Bass, Tony Min, Jonathan Yang, Steven Yu and Graham Zola ... RPI women with multiple wins were
Jessica Kugelman,
Emily Mayoras and
Ola Nawrocki.
LAST SEASON: Rensselaer did not face Oneonta last year, but did have a dual meet with St. Rose ... RPI combined to win 21 of the 26 events and the Engineers took down Golden Knights 143-84 (women) and 144-77 (men) ...
Emily Mayoras won two individual events and was part of a victorious relay,
Kat Lopez swam on two winning relay teams and won an individual event and
Jessica Kugelman won from both diving boards ... Graham Zola and Trevor Maxfield both won a pair of individual swims and a relay for the men.
ONEONTA TO DATE: The Red Dragons have competed in the Hartwick Relays (Oct. 19) and in a dual meet at Oswego (Oct. 26) ... Oneonta's women were fifth at Hartwick and lost to the Lakers, 133-106 ... The men's team was also fifth in the relays and also suffered a loss at Oswego, 148-92.
ST. ROSE TO DATE: The Golden Knights opened at the Hartwick Relays (Oct. 19), finishing fourth, and have then competed in the Hartwick Quint Meet (Oct. 26), going unbeaten ... They hosted Bentley last Sunday, but lost 118-95 ... St. Rose's victories came over Hartwick (141-129), Cazenovia (208-39), Cobleskill (205-41) and Utica (207-51) ... The Golden Knights men's team was fourth in the Relays before losing to Hartwick (198-82), but defeating Utica (176-63) and Cobleskill (174-51) ... They lost to Bentley, 151-66.
