UTICA, N.Y. - Sophomore Kat Morin set the school record in the 60 meter dash and she won the 200 meter dash to lead the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's track & field team to a victory at the Utica Winter Classic in the team's final meet of 2019.

The Engineers had 188 points to outdistance second place Westfield State University (137) by 51 points. Utica was third with 115.5 points, Hamilton College was fourth with 74.5, Union College was fifth with 45 and Colgate University was sixth with 30.

Morin (7.98) and Sarah Dalakos (8.02) ran 1-2 in the 60 meter dash with Morin besting her previous college-best of 8.08, which she established just a week earlier. She also established a personal-best in winning the 200, which she finished in 26.66. Morin ran 27.13 seven days before.

Also registering two wins for the Engineers was sophomore Madison Perez, who finished the 800 meters in 2:21.37 and helped the 4x400 relay team to a win in 4:15.40. Perez ran the anchor in the relay and was joined by Jordan Porter, Maddie Fabry and Willa Spaar. Fabry, a senior, ran second in the 800 with a time of 2:23.29.

The high jump featured sophomore Jacy Sharlow winning with a height of 1.65. Classmate Maya Verma was second at 1.59 meters.
